How PicoSure® Tattoo Removal Works
PicoSure® tattoo removal follows a straightforward, proven protocol:

Comfort-First Tattoo Removal With Pro-Nox® (Exclusively Available In-Office)
Most patients describe PicoSure® as feeling like a rubber band snapping against the skin, brief and very tolerable. Dr. Avaliani prioritizes your comfort at every step. Pro-Nox™ (laughing gas) is available before treatment for immediate relaxation with no needles required, topical numbing cream is applied 20 minutes prior, and air cooling provides additional comfort during the session. For larger tattoos, injectable anesthesia is available for maximum comfort.
Small tattoos can be treated in under 5 minutes, while larger pieces take longer. After treatment, you may notice temporary whitening (frosting) of the skin and mild swelling, which resolves within hours. There is minimal downtime, just avoid direct sun exposure on the treated area and follow simple aftercare instructions.
