Restylane® Kysse™ is an FDA-approved hyaluronic acid lip filler that uses XpresHAn Technology™ (Natural Expression Technology) for lip augmentation in adults 21 and older. Each syringe contains 1 ml of flexible HA gel with pre-mixed lidocaine. At Dr. Avaliani’s practice, every Kysse treatment begins with a thorough consultation and before photos. Topical numbing cream is applied for 20–30 minutes before injection for maximum comfort. The number of syringes varies based on your starting lip anatomy and desired result — some patients need 1 syringe while others may receive up to 2 at one visit. Kysse lip treatment is very comfortable. Topical numbing cream is applied for 20–30 minutes before injection, and the formula contains pre-mixed lidocaine for additional built-in numbing. Pain tolerance varies by individual, but most patients find the experience very manageable. Pro-Nox (nitrous oxide) is available upon request for additional comfort.
Kysse produces the least swelling of any lip filler, so results are visible immediately. There is no downtime — resume normal activities right away. You can apply lipstick just 30 minutes post-injection and exercise the same day. To minimize bruising, avoid alcohol 3–5 days before treatment and stop NSAIDs and vitamins 5 days prior. Results last 6–9 months.
