SKINVIVE treatment is super easy and virtually painless. The formula contains lidocaine, a built-in numbing agent, so discomfort is minimal. Most patients describe feeling only light pinches during the injection. The entire treatment takes approximately 15–20 minutes, and Pro-Nox (nitrous oxide) is available upon request for patients who prefer additional comfort.
Side effects are typically mild and resolve quickly. Common reactions include redness, minor swelling, and small bumps at injection sites — most resolve within 7 days. To minimize bruising potential, Dr. Avaliani recommends avoiding alcohol, multivitamins, and NSAIDs (Advil/Motrin/Aleve) before your appointment. Injection light technology is also used to further reduce bruising risk.
